Safety is never seasonal

As temperatures soar across the UAE, KPS has rolled out its annual Summer Safety Campaign across all project sites, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to worker welfare during the region’s most challenging months. This year’s campaign carries a clear and timely message: Stay cool, stay safe — because safety doesn’t take a summer break.

Designed to raise awareness and drive action, the campaign features clear, multilingual communications in English, Arabic, and Hindi, focused on the key risks of working in high heat. Posters and educational materials cover:

  • The importance of staying hydrated
  • Understanding the heat index
  • Differentiating the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke
  • Compliance with the UAE-mandated midday break from 12:30 to 3:00 pm

In addition to these visual reminders, the KPS Health, Safety and Environment team is taking proactive steps to engage with colleagues on the ground. Regular site visits and toolbox talks are being held to ensure that every worker understands the risks and knows how to respond, for themselves and for each other.

“At KPS, safety is everyone’s responsibility, and especially vital during the summer. This campaign is a reminder that simple actions can save lives,” said Stephen Taylor, UAE Managing Director of KPS. From hydration stations to clear signage and open conversations on site, the Summer Safety Campaign is part of a broader culture of care at KPS. One that puts people first, whatever the weather.
