
KPS attaches great importance to the Health and Safety of its employees and all other persons who are affected by it activities. Furthermore, we believe that a successful health and safety culture is dependent upon effective collaboration between the company and its clients. Therefore, KPS is determined to establish a climate in which the positive aspects of safety are encouraged and developed.
It is the company’s policy to ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, the Health, Safety and welfare of all employees, whilst at work, by:
Providing and maintaining Plant and Systems of Work that are safe and without risk to health.
Ensuring safe use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances.
Providing Information, training and supervision as is necessary to achieve competence in their roles.
Ensuring a safe working environment, with an appropriate level of welfare facilities.
The Company will ensure that every effort is made to meet and whenever possible, exceed, all legal requirements relating to its activities. It will consider the Health & Safety implications of all decisions affecting the company and take account of international standards and approved codes of practice where they apply.
Continued compliance is achieved through the application of a formally documented health and safety management system, developed in line with the principles of the internationally accepted safety management standard OHSAS 18001.
An open and forward thinking attitude towards all aspects of Health & Safety at work is encouraged, as is the development of individual awareness and responsibility. Employees are encouraged to assist and participate in initiatives to improve their working environment and the company will ensure that training in Health & Safety matters is included wherever necessary.
The policy will be kept up to date, particularly as the business changes and develops. To this end, the policy and the way in which it is operated will be reviewed every year.
